Blog - January 2026
Hello world!
Hi!!! First of all, welcome to my site!!!! It’s been a long time in the making… my first attempt at a First Blog Entry for the Launch of the Site was originally dated October 2024, lol. Obviously that didn’t pan out, but such is the way of life. I’m just glad to finally be publishing the site!
Finally setting a single goalpost (being done before the end of winter break) is a lot of what helped me finally hunker down and finish what was left. That, and hacking and slashing at the majority of what I wanted up on the site before publishing it until it was reduced to an amount that was actually reasonable to get done all at once. Believe it or not, lowering your expectations for something makes it easier to complete. The site may be somewhat barebones right now, but I'd rather have it be barebones than perpetually uncompleted and unpublished.
I do, of course, still have lofty future plans for this site. Over time, there will be more added to the main Pathcross City section of the site. But most importantly, there will eventually be different “series” sections of the site. These will focus on different OC universes that are largely unconnected to Pathcross City. The idea is for each one to have a really different aesthetic, too – to feel like you’re on a different site (or, in a different “world”).
I don’t actually know for sure which site section is going to be up first. I have three in various states of completion (Maroon Z, CC, and Pokémon OCs) but it’s an absolute toss-up which one I’ll be able to focus enough on to get done anytime soon. (Of course with school starting again really really soon I won’t have much time for anything, but y’know).
Sharing my original stories and characters is the main goal of this site, so please look forward to it.
If you clicked around before going to the blog, you may have noticed that the “story” section mentions a soon-to-start webcomic. That is because I am going to start a webcomic. On April 23rd, 2026, no less. It will be hosted both on this site and probably cross-posted to ComicFury. And maybe tumblr.
Making a webcomic is something I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid but got kind of scared each time. A lack of confidence in ability to stay on schedule, a lack of confidence in being able to keep going without losing interest, a lack of confidence in creating a narrative… Because of that, I decided to pick the most low-stakes concept I could think of, which is a strip series about Mizoki. Mizoki is a character I’ve barely posted about online before, but has existed for over a decade, and I’ve made a variety of comics about Mizoki through my life. Being low-stakes is Mizoki’s M.O.
So, even though no one really knows Mizoki, I hope you’ll look forward to meeting Mizoki and reading the comic.
As for what to expect from the blog section of this site? Who knows! I just thought it would be fun to include. I don’t actually know what I’m going to put in it. Maybe it’ll just be site updates like this, or maybe it’ll be reviews or life updates and things like that.
I suppose that for the inaugural blog entry, perhaps I should share some things about my life right now. I’ve been playing Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite! (the GBC) one lately and have been enjoying it more than I expected. It’s like a GB Zelda if it was only about fetch quests. I’m looking forward to beating it and moving onto the GBA one. My tablet pen broke recently and replacements are so expensive that it makes me mad, so I still haven’t bought a replacement (I had to draw the last few site assets with my mouse…). I meant to play Pokémon Legends Z-A over break and haven’t touched it the entire break. And that’s what I’ve been doing lately.
And that's the end of the site's very first blog entry! Thanks for reading!
